Episode 46: The Shift To Motherhood W/ Photographer Sophia Barrett

I had the pleasure of having a conversation with the incredibly talented Sophia Barrett, about her journey to motherhood. She talks about her early childhood experiences, being a child of immigrant parents and the struggles of growing up in Massachusetts. Sophia was candid and honest about her difficulty to accept her diagnosis of infertility and how she viewed herself as a woman. But the powerful piece that she shares was how becoming a foster parent shifted her view of motherhood and led her to adopt her daughter, Emi. She also talks about balancing being a wife, mother, and a business owner of the hottest photography studio in Atlanta, Ga. I also talk about my personal experience with booking Sophia to capture my family portraits and how I wish I could gift this experience to every woman I know. Grab your tissues because you're gonna need them!
